City Ecosystem Overview

OHUB has been building an inclusive entrepreneurship hub and ecosystem from the ground up in the Kansas City Metropolitan Region since May, 2019. The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state 14-county metropolitan area straddling the border between the U.S. states of Missouri and Kansas. Its most populous municipality is Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO) in which 30% and 10% of the citizens are Black and Latinx, respectively. KCMO’s Black population is concentrated in the 3rd and 5th Congressional Districts. OHUB’s Ecosystem Lab is physically located in the historic 18th and Vine Corridor.

OHUB KC seeks to expand on OHUB’s inclusive innovation, entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem building programs in the Kansas City Metropolitan region to create pathways to shared prosperity and multi-generational wealth creation with no reliance on pre-existing multi-generational wealth. The following methodologies will be utilized.
